What is the "SDG HEROES" Series?

"SDG HEROES" is a unique photographic series celebrating local and global leaders from all walks of life at the forefront meeting the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals. Each of the SDG HEROES holds a personal

"SDG Object" symbolizing the single Goal they feel is most vital for them.

“We do not have to become heroes overnight. Just a step at a time, meeting each thing that comes up, seeing it as not as dreadful as it appears, discovering that we have the strength to stare it down.”

- Eleanor Roosevelt, Former first Lady of the United States

"SDG" stands for the Sustainable Development Goals. Officially known as Transforming Our World: the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development is a set of 17 Global Goals designed by the United Nations through a deliberative process involving its 193 Member States, as well as global civil society. The purpose of the Goals is to achieve a sustainable and inclusive future for people, planet and prosperity - by 2030.
